PRODOSH DASGUPTA

Prodosh Dasgupta was a noted sculpture who was born in Dhaka in 1912. He was trained in sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts and LCC central school, London and the Ecole de Grand Chaumier, Paris. 1940-50,he set up a studio in Kolkata and worked as a free-lance artist.1942, Founder member,Calcutta group. His sculptures were exhibited in India and Internationally in many solo and group shows. He was also the curator of National gallery of Modern Art( NGMA).
